DOPE LEMON reminds us what it’s like to be “Kids Fallin’ In Love”

One of the finest singer-songwriters of our generation, Angus Stone, first made a name for himself as part of the indie-folk music brother-sister duo Angus & Julia Stone. Recently, Angus has been releasing under the DOPE LEMON moniker. DOPE LEMON features a more psychedelic, electric rock sound than Angus’s previous work.

Fresh off the release of “Everyday Is A Holiday”, a collaboration with fellow Aussie Winston Surfshirt, DOPE LEMON is back with some fresh dope. Just in time for summer down under, “Kids Fallin’ In Love” is a feel-good tune embodying the ever potent ingredient, teenage love. The track takes us back to times before worries of unpaid bills and desk jobs, back to days when we were just discovering the feelings of love and the power that it wields.

The laid back track is carried by soothing guitar and raspy, crackling vocals. While it features a nostalgic tone, the song reminds us that it’s never too late to fall in love. The track in some ways feels like an order from DOPE LEMON in these trying times, instructing us to “keep on fallin’ in love” to get through the craziness of 2020.
