Jade Elliott exudes unbridled love on “Take Me Home” [Video]

Brooklyn based indie rap act Jade Elliott’s newest effort “Take Me Home” caught me by surprise with its refreshing style blending rap, dance, and R&B. Yes, these fusions have been done before but the way Elliott carries the track is quite gripping. “Take Me Home” is as smooth as butter and centers around doubts when it comes to love and moments when our hearts may stray.

Drunk Girl makes use of solid 4 to the floor drum arrangements, moody pads, and soft synths to complete the job with the production behind this track. Elliott on the other hand gracefully hovers on the soundscape with a confident demeanor and silky sultry flow. The verses are fast-paced adding a sort of urgency to the track while the ethereal chorus provides layers of emotions.

The accompanying music video is directed by Black Myth Visuals and features various use of sparse lighting to highlight the song’s silky undertones. The moody color of each shot weave in and out of one another and could be interpreted as Elliott’s continuous search for love through the craziness and all.
