The Trusted weren’t always “The Innocent” ones in telling new single

UK band The Trusted acknowledges their teenage ignorance in the new, upbeat single “The Innocent.” Professing how they were ultimately out of touch with reality during their teenage days, the four-piece want to share that they have learned from their mistakes and are now taking a more mature and educated approach to life. We’ve all been there – thinking we know best and going about our days as if we were indestructible, and sometimes it takes the simplest of things to shake us back to existence.

“The Innocent” speaks about the band’s youthful mindset and wistful mentality that would lead them to unrealistic expectations. Now a few years older and with a few more experiences under their belt, the band can look back at their old ways and realise that life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. Their zest for life is thread throughout their music, both thematically and sonically, with The Trusted delivering an uplifting and move-inducing sound evocative of Catfish and the Bottlemen. Erupting with clashing guitars, buoyant percussion and warm, resonating vocals, “The Innocent” is a lighthearted and effervescent track with the power to connect with listeners on a deeper and more authentic level.

The indie alt-rock band which consists of Southend-on-Sea musicians Dave Batchelor, Dale Holt-Mead, Fin Cunningham and Tom Cunningham have successfully concocted a recognisable sound which is sure to mark them a firm place in the industry. The Trusted are here to stay and we’re excited to see their next moves.
