Black Lilys have shared a new release called “Störm”, which follows up their most recent single, the glowing, surreal “Invisible Strings”. Based in Scotland but helmed by siblings Camille and Robin Faure of France, they expand upon their ethereal alt-pop sound on this release, with a chilling, dream-like sound palette and evocative vocals.
“Störm” opens with an expansive intro built upon hymnal vocal layers before soft pianos enter. As singer Camille’s elegant vocals drift atop, delicate strings underscore her and blend smoothly with the pianos to create a graceful soundscape. The song reaches an emotive crescendo as the pianos pick up a jauntier pace and organic-sounding percussion is added, drawing the listener in closely as the song patiently builds.
