Glimji & jamesjamesjames are back with their new club anthem “Rush”. It’s a track with fast energy and powerful synths feathered with delicate vocals which all come together to make a beautiful sound. The two possess musical similarities, and “Rush” is a perfect example of their trajectory of creative success.
“Rush” is a new hot Y2K techno track that invites the listener to join them and reminisce about the 90’s with its nostalgic synth sounds and high pitched vocal samples. Though their music is more than a 90’s replica, as Glimji explains, “I think our generation has had our own moments of euphoria and togetherness that separates us from the past. It’s a new culture of anti-competition and holding each other up rather than trying to knock each other down, it’s anti-individual and it’s driven from collective togetherness. It’s a specific love. It’s Mutual Euphoria”
This is a track that shares similarities with a rising sound within dance music today, with the likes of salute, Mall Grab and Conducta all sharing this lo-fi, high energy, and chaotic sound. “Rush” is the prime example of the modern state of affairs within dance music.
“Rush” is out now on all streaming services via Headroom Records.
