Emerging rapper Jaywall serves fast bars with a melodic flow on new single, “Antisocial.” The music video captures the artist performing on a balcony with skyscrapers looming in the background. He wears a t-shirt and jeans along with a beanie and chain, adding to his nonchalant laid-back demeanor.
“Antisocial” has a rhythmic hip-hop beat booming with bass and subtle trumpets. Jaywall’s verses are delivered with a vocalized inflection and casual bravado similar to Lil Baby or Polo G. Each bar has an organized structure yet sporadic enough to feel like a freestyle. He raps, “I be all over the country, she trippin’, I told her stop trippin’, she used to these locals.” The beat is on a continuous loop as he jumps into the hook with effortless stamina.
The single’s release comes after the streaming success of his breakout hit, “HIM.” Now, Jaywall is preparing to drop his new album, Til We Meet Again II on September 23rd. He describes his inspiration, “So this new album is special because Vol. 2 is another closed chapter about the things I learned in between time and the feelings that put me in the mind space I’m in now.”
