Tampa Bay rapper Rublow puts his touch on Lil Wayne’s classic, “Hustler Musik” for latest release, “Blow Muzik.” The accompanying music video follows the artist through a day in his neighborhood. The track is his debut release with Cash Money Records.
“Blow Muzik” samples Lil Wayne’s 2006 track adding more bass and less classical instrumentals. He raps to a love interest describing his busy trap lifestyle. His voice blends effortlessly over the beat with a slight wheeze reminiscent of his predecessor, barely taking a breath between each bar.
He reflects, “They say Rublow lost it all now he winning again, God forgive me cause I’m sinning again, swore to God that I was done with that b**** but I done hit it again.” The rapper then shamelessly shouts out his Cash Money labelmates.
Rublow is a hidden talent emerging from the underground scene. With major label backing and increased traction on social media, he has the potential to be a mainstream name in rap. His flow is rooted in the storytelling of his real-life experiences and hustler mentality. Rublow is an emerging talent to keep a close eye on as he enters this new chapter of his career.
