Rising Jackson, MS-based rapper/songwriter/producer Rosewood Swing is a multi-faceted artist and video director who has worked with the likes of Curren$y, Snoop Dogg, and T-Pain. His first mixtape Vegas16 was released in 2014 and was followed by the EPs Reflective3M, and How Limewire Killed the Radio in 2020. Now he returns with two visuals from his catalogue. The songs in question are “Gone Ride With Me” and “Palestine”, two tracks that capture Rosewood’s laidback demeanour, smooth flows over mellow atmospherically soulful beats.
The first track “Gone Ride With Me,” is introduced with a rich synth lead, soft, ethereal texture, and sparse drums. Rosewood set the tone with a smooth melodic flow and playful vibe. He is all about the grind and securing his bag, reminding audiences that he has no time to horse around. The visual is shot in and around the AMG showroom and uses several performance shots of the rapper.

Next is the music video to the track “Palestine,” from Rosewood Swing’s mixtape: Purple Heart Soulja. The video was shot by Swing himself, who uses a fusion of performance shots, simple close and wide shots with subtle video effects to complete the job. The song is soulful and warm and once again displays Rosewood’s smooth flow and braggadocio raps, with a catchy melodic hook to match.
