The producer, DJ, & vocalist known as Adibanti remains a rising & singular figure in the UK underground dance scene thanks to his inventive and consistent output of singles & EPs. The artist released his first single of the year, “Heal” back in March to rave reviews for its nostalgic early 2000’s UK garage influence and smooth vocal performance. He has now resurfaced with his most moving composition yet, a liquid drum’n’bass ballad entitled “The Reason”.
The song not only showcases Adibanti’s proficiency as a producer, but his talents as a reflective songwriter, as he uses the pulsating, liquid synth lead breakbeat in order to existentially question the meaning of everyday life in 2022. It is a very relevant track in our post-pandemic transition back to “normalcy” that a lot of listeners will undoubtedly identify with.
