London-based Alessandro Ciminata hits back with his new emotive single “I’ll Wear Your Sadness Like It’s Mine’’, which pairs a moody and nostalgic singer-songwriter style with well-produced pop music. The single, released earlier this month, is the latest in a strong discography, and further defines his sound as a romantic indie-pop work of art.
The track is a heartfelt one, which was written at a time of near-breakup with his girlfriend – “It’s a strong statement of promises to that person we love the most. The night before I wrote it, I had the worst argument ever with my girlfriend, we almost broke up…I always thought that fights can help relationships when love is still there so I wanted to bring clarity to my head and heart and renew my promises of love to the person I care the most by remembering sweet memories and trying to become the best version of myself for a brighter future together.”
“I’ll Wear Your Sadness Like It’s Mine” is one for listening in the car during a rainy day. It features crisp, clean production alongside expressive drums, pianos and heartfelt lyrics which all come together to make something that could resonate with a large crowd.
