Amanda Brown contemplates what is means to be deceived in “Dirty Liar”

Powerhouse vocalist and emotive songwriter Amanda Brown shares her latest single “Dirty Liar.” The poignant ballad is the second single off of her upcoming EP of the same name.

In “Dirty Liar,” Amanda Brown creates an autobiographical song detailing the lies, betrayal and deceit she experienced from a former lover. Written after a toxic relationship and the breakup that ensued, the singer confronts her lost love in their selfish and hurtful actions singing, “dirty liar / set ‘em on fire / walk into a room just to steal and devour / dirty liar / aren’t you tired?/ lost in the ash and you’re not any wiser.”

Sonically, the soulful yet heart-wrenching ballad features moody guitars under confident vocals singing devastatingly beautiful melodies.”Dirty Liar,” is a remarkable track that manages to feel introspective and intimate as well as courageous and confrontational.

Well known for her unique soprano as a finalist on season three of The Voice and a sought after backup singer, collaborating with the likes of Adele, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and The Killers, Amanda Brown released her debut album Dirty Water in 2018 and since then has released music centred on themes such as self-realization, relationships and lost love. “Dirty Liar,” marks another musical chapter for this prolific performer. Take a listen to the new single and remember when someone is unfaithful, walk away.
