Ari Dayan finds inner beauty in “Love” [Video]

Los Angeles left-of-center pop artist Ari Dayan just unveiled her latest single “Love” with an accompanying music video. The track follows the emotive ballad “Undeserving” which was released earlier this year.

With “Love,” Dayan explores the concept of self-love and how important it is to truly accept and embrace who you are both internally and externally. With her lyrics “there is just no way / no I won’t get emotional today / everything is clear when I look up in the mirror and say / I love you / I love every little thing about you,” Dayan is aware that true confidence comes from within and we are responsible for our own feelings.

The music video directed by Brett Gelman (Stranger Things, Fleabag), continues with this narrative. Dayan is revealed as desperate and unraveling. Her demise is represented by her need for external validation with what looks like her various pleas for attention from the social media community. Sonically, “Love” is an upbeat, dance pop track filled with an energetic and driving beat, radiant synths and a hopeful catchy chorus. “Love” is an anthem for appreciation and growth packaged in a radio-friendly, pop-banger.

Dayan began her career in musical theater at six-years-old. As a teen, the Los Angeles artist began writing her own music, inspired by talented songwriters including Stevie Nicks and Sia. She quickly began to receive attention from acclaimed producer Brandon Bost (Mark Ronson, Taylor Swift) and songwriter Aaron “Koko” Komenski (Sam Smith, Katy Perry) who have since collaborated with Dayan. With more music to come, we can’t wait to hear what is next from this positive pop-star in the making.
