Boasting new artists like Tee Grizzley, Sada Baby, BandGang, Baby Smoove and many more, the city has become a hotbed for new talent in recent memory. Although he’s moved to the west coast, rising emcee HOTELROOM is also one of the names from the city making waves, as he’s attacked the underground the last few years with ferocious consistency. Produced by Chris Rose, “Main Attraction,” is a fast-paced, dynamic record that finds HOTEL rhyming with the signature aggression that he’s come to be known for. Utilizing the equally bombastic production, he showcases his ability to rap at a breakneck speed, paying homage to the Midwest emcees that preceded him. Of the more intriguing qualities about the record, the most interesting has to be that this is one of the first times that we’ve heard him embrace the current sound coming from his hometown. Showcasing he’s still from the D, he proves that he has the chops to rhyme with the best of them.
