Based in Manchester and creating some of the most unique and technically adept alt-pop, songwriter IORA is at the start of an exciting journey. Before dropping her new EP How Did We Get Here, the artist and producer is sharing her first single from the project “Brother, Sister”. It’s a track that revels in its own individuality, filled with a potent blend of electronic samples and field recording, providing a gorgeous foundation for IORA’s (Real name Holly Phelps) quirky vocal tone. Speaking on the inspiration behind the new single, Phelps states that – “Brother, sister is a love song to people and communities that get stronger and stand together in the face of adversity”
Ahead of the forthcoming EP, IORA can look to a busy touring schedule to back up the ever-building hype around the young songwriter. Her songwriting talent has ld to financial backing from collection society PRS’ new artist development fund – helping her to spread the new EP far and wide.
