Vermont artist Isabel Pless has shared a new single titled “Call My Own”. Beginning her musical career in her childhood bedroom in the town of Jericho, she was first inspired by a deep love for songwriting. Honing in on an emotive, candid sound, she delivered a series of poignant tracks during the pandemic that served as cathartic outlets for expressing yearning and frustration. Now, she has shared a new single called “Twenty-Two”, which finds her delivering heartfelt, sharply-crafted melodies and introspective lyrics atop dream-like instrumentation.
“Twenty-Two” opens with soft pianos that convey a sense of longing, before Pless enters with a welcoming, warm voice as she delivers personal, retrospective lyrics throughout her verses. The instrumentation builds enticingly but slowly, with subtle guitars and swelling strings adding layers to the track.
