Portland-based singer-songwriter Julia Logue blends neo-soul with jazz in her new release titled “Welcome To Your Sunrise”. The track is ripe with rich guitar plucks, warm pianos rousing drums all underpinned by her soul-stirring vocal runs and heartfelt lyrics that dwell on her journey from self-doubt to finally believing in herself. With lines like “Don’t let them look you in your eye they don’t understand, understand/Welcome to your sunrise, welcome to your life, won’t go to plan/Now you see the sun is bright, coming down on you/But now you see, the sun it blinds, not looking out for you” aim to give listeners that much-needed push to rise through the rumble to take hold of their destinies.
Julia Logue has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in Portland and opened for Ruby Waters, Quickly, Quickly, and Nico Play on the Pacific Northwest portion of their tours. Logue has a bright future ahead of her in music and she looks forward to continuing her releases.
