Over recent months, MarMar has teased us with uplifting and meticulously produced anthems like “Call On You,” “Try” (featuring LUUNG), “Heart,” “Imposter” (featuring Becca Kreuger), and “Without,” all leading up to this highly anticipated release.

The EP’s title track, “Feel Okay,” is a standout piece that delves into MarMar’s struggle with OCD. This song is a raw and honest portrayal of his ongoing battle, capturing the emotional turmoil and quest for peace. MarMar describes this track as particularly challenging, both to create and to share, due to its deeply personal subject matter. The difficulty in producing and mastering the song only adds to its authenticity and emotional impact. The artist explains below..

“Tough track for me to even talk about actually, but Feel Okay is about my battle with OCD and the constant struggle in my mind. It’s truly been a hellscape going through diagnosis and treatment and I needed a way to externalize that. This is such a special and difficult track for me. It was tough to sing about this, tough to mix, tough to master. Just a total struggle to create and also maybe one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. I wanted to just be honest about how things are in my mind sometimes. How I’m always seeking peace. I spend a lot of time wondering what it would be like to completely “Feel Okay.” ~ MarMar

Collaborations with artists like LUUNG and Becca Kreuger, along with co-writers Robert Gillies and John Caviness, enrich the EP with diverse influences and heartfelt contributions. MarMar’s meticulous craftsmanship is evident in every aspect, from writing and production to mixing and mastering. Feel Okay is more than just an EP; it’s a testament to MarMar’s resilience and honesty as an artist, offering listeners a glimpse into his inner world and the universal struggle of seeking peace amid chaos. This EP is a must-listen for those who appreciate music that speaks to the heart and soul.
