Emerging Southern California based recording artist/producer Mehki Letreigh caught our ears with his new release “Rolling Stone” that painfully describes his fears and hopes. The self-produced single has a solemn and somewhat moody texture made up of lush guitar riffs, soothing synths held together by trap drums. It sure sits well with Letreigh’s smooth melodies and honest lyrics about his journey as an artist while giving us a glimpse into his life.
He uses the track as a form of outlet and reflection as he looks at how even in success there is always a gap that needs filling. With lines like “I’m on the top floor but it don’t feel at home/I burn these earnings it wont take me too long,” he shows the listener that he is not impervious to pain and like everyone else he is going through it albeit in his own unique way.
Letreigh moved often as a child before settling in his current city of Los Angeles and started his foray into music at the ripe age of 16 writing and producing his own songs via Soundcloud. He is currently working on new music and plans to release his debut album Reconstructed in the nearest future.
