Nick Kingswell remedies his feeling of being “Homesick” in new single

Hailing from Australia, the now London based Nick Kingswell delivers his latest single “Homesick.” A stunning sonic exploration, the songwriter takes us on his journey from the vastness of his home country, to the rawness of London town. Vivid, storytelling lyrics, a strong, foot-stomping beat and layered harmonies paint a colorful picture, with Kingswell beautifully setting the scene for his listeners. We’ve all spent time away from home, away from our loved ones and creature comforts, and despite how happy we may be in our new venture, there’s always a little part of you that yearns deeply for our home.

Demonstrating his impressive vocal range, Kingswell shows his vulnerability, singing “hold my hand so I don’t turn back,” needing reassurance and comfort during a time of uncertainty. Something we can all relate to in current times. Kingswell shares in his press release, “I love living in the UK and I feel equally as lucky to get to go home to a place like Phillip Island. It’s the best of both worlds. But the feeling of being homesick comes and goes. It’s like that whole idle hands idea. As long as I’m busy and happy and in touch with my family regularly, I can make it work.”

Kingswell’s potent blend of cinematic folk, combined with the organic nature of his music allows you to truly become immersed in the sound, soaking in every note, emanating an almost therapeutic energy. “Homesick” is off of his upcoming album Brontide due October 23rd.
