Polish producer Padre Tóxico is on a prolific role with his slew of releases over the last few months. From his numerous collaborations with indie artists and labels to his self-released projects.
The first track “Nightshift” is released under the Chill Select label and sees Padre teaming up with rappers Paradox and Skiii. The production is immaculately soulful and evokes good memories and comfort for listeners while the rappers share their respective experiences in life using night and day as metaphors for change and growth as memories keep being created.
The second track “Alive,” was released under Patiotic Records and it’s a collaboration with longtime collaborator Mike Mitch. Bolstered by Padre’s soul-jazz soundscape comprising soft drum grooves underpinned by solemn piano riffs and ethereal horn passes, Mitch delivers a heartfelt performance filled with the poignant message of seizing the day, enjoying it for what it brings and appreciating the lessons learned. Mitch sounds reflective and content with the card life health and his laidback measured flow and candid lyrics add an extra emotional layer to the motivational track.
The track also comes with a visual shot on location with Mike walking through the busy streets and enjoying the serenity of his mind.
