L.A based singer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist Khamari is on the come up. Following the success of his 2020 e.p Eldorado and a handful of well-received singles, Khamari has already amassed critical and fan acclaim as well as being looped in with other great names in R&B such as the likes of Frank Ocean and Leon Bridges.

With a new album on the horizon, Khamari isn’t losing steam, and “On My Way” demonstrates that focus well.

Accompanied by a visualizer that showcases the singer’s travels moving from Boston to Los Angeles, “On My Way” is a deep cut that represents the journey to creating better opportunities. The lyrical depth in the songwriting demonstrates the singer’s capabilities for imbuing the track with evocative feelings of moving on over a minimal production backdrop.

The Al Green sample works greatly in Khamari’s favor, adding just a hint of flair to an already stripped-back yet poignant instrumental.

As Khamari makes the journey, physically and metaphorically, fans can expect a pleasant listening experience to whatever comes next.
