Instrumentalist/producer Simon Jefferis is back with the visuals for his previously released track “Back 2 Ours.” The jazz-infused track is chock full of alluring elements from lush guitars, warm basslines, and a cool vibraphone section by London artist David Mrakpor. Of course also in tow is Jefferis longtime collaborator Austin MC Abhi The Nomad who delivers a solid performance over Jefferis’s head-nodding backdrop.
The visual is done in a vintage style and goes back to the essence of the art of making music. They stray from the glitz and flare and choose to use negative coloring for the visuals peppered with a multi-colored backdrop which is reminiscent of the technique employed in many videos from the late 80s. On another note, the performance shots of each artist involved in the song also focus on their skill set as they perform their parts.
