London-based Angola/ Portugal representing artist Nur shares visuals for her song “Let Me Go“. The bouncy afropop/R&B infused track is a self-empowerment anthem for finding one’s true purpose and strength. Backed by the punchy and hypnotic Amapiano drum groove and rich textures, Nur embodies her African roots and feminity on this tune that explores moving on from toxic relationships. The accompanying visual captures her in true form as she expresses herself without restrains.
JahleelFaReaL – “Ten Toes Down”

Austin, TX-based JahleelFaReaL shares “Ten Toes Down” which is a collaboration with Dizzy Wright. The emcees take time to share their thoughts on staying true to their culture and working on being the best versions of themselves by any means. The production has a modern West Coast bounce with cinematic textures and the visuals ShotByCammJBoyd ramps up the on-screen chemistry between these two rap stars.
Lily Kershaw – “Poem Song”

Lily Kershaw‘s “Poem Song” is a heartfelt and reflective piece that explores the phases of depression and the use of words of affirmation as a therapeutic method. The sombre piano-driven piece is produced by Brandon Walters and sees Lily penning a letter to herself during a bout of depression reassuring herself that things will only get better. The visual style uses DIY elements, various close-up shots and retro effects that capture innocence, self-awareness and the true meaning of self-love. “Poem Song” is taken from Lily’s forthcoming third album Pain & More, out September 13.
Abyss x Tragedy Khadafi – “The Shining” prod. by Abyss (cuts by DJ Slipwax)

Massachusetts-based rapper Abyss and legendary QB emcee Tragedy Khadafi team up for “The Shining”. The haunting track produced by Abyss is ripe with moody and scenic samples and thumping drum grooves that blend perfectly with both emcees. Tragedy set the tone with his expressive militant rap schemes followed by Abyss’ gruff vocals. The track is accentuated with cuts by DJ Slipwax who help bring it to a conclusion. The song comes with a visualizer created by Chow Films. that blends strange and haunting clips.
K-Trap – “Old School Era”

UK rapper K-Trap is back in business as he drops “Old School Era”, a thumping bass-driven piece that sees him bridging the gap between the classic trap foundation and modern drill aesthetics. Backed by the cinematic soundscape from Nathaniel London and Jester Beats, K-Trap embodies the spirit of a young king ready to ascend to his throne in the music game and the accompanying visuals also bring that notion to life. We see the young rapper basking in an all-exclusive spot and surrounded by the finest things money can buy. The video uses a moody black and white colouring to punctuate the cinematic flare reminiscent of the finest gangster films, brimming with opulence and extravagance.
Kel-P – In My Feelings (feat. Chikoruss) [Chikoruss Version]”

Afrobeats producer/singer and hitmaker Kel-P heads to NY with “In My Feelings” featuring Canadian R&B artist Chikoruss. The track is a new version of Kel P’s previously released song and the result is a smooth fusion of styles that bring together Nigerian afrobeats sensibilities with North American R&B stylings. The single is accompanied by an official music video which captures Kel-P and Chikoruss linking up in New York City. The original version of “In My Feelings” was released in February and features French rap star Kalash.
Gabzy – “Piano”

Gabzy‘s single “Piano” propelled him to the forefront and captivated audiences with its soulful piano-driven backdrop and memorable hook. The song now gets an official and exclusive performance for Vevo DSCVR and we get to see Gabzy in his element as he teams up with the best instrumentalists who rework his single into a head nodding and lounge-type vibe.
Double A.B. x Git Beats – “Recliner” prod. by Git Beats

Double A.B. and Git Beats share visuals for “Recliner” taken from the duo’s collaborative album Lungs Of Mahalia. The sombre tune is driven by solemn piano riffs and soft drum grooves underpinned by Double A.B’s smooth flow and vivid lyricism that sees him basking in the good things life can offer. The Steven Tapia-directed visual taps into the laidback vibe of the song and we see Double A.B chilling in bathroom robes in the middle of Washington Square Park and soaking in the fresh air as pedestrians walk past him.
Fliptrix – “Funky Microphone”

UK rapper Fliptrix returns with “Funky Microphone”, a fiery lyric-dense piece that sees the lyricist going back to the fundamentals. Over the piano-driven boom-bap soundscape provided by Leaf Dog, he showcases his lyrical dexterity while reminding us that he will always be true to the culture. The accompanying visual blends performance shots with wide and medium landscapes creating a world-building effect on viewers.

Milan Ring – “Leo”

Multi-talented Eora/Sydney R&B musician, producer and engineer Milan Ring delivers the visuals for her song “Leo”, taken from her sophomore album, Mangos, due for a May 10 release. The track sees her teaming up with polyrhythmic trio OYOBI, who add their Midas touch to the track with a blend of modern neo-soul laced with funk and R&B musical stylings. The title references the fifth Zodiac sign and explores how astrology affects compatibility between two individuals. The visuals use motifs and bright summer-tinged colours as their driving force, eclectic light streaks, and still shots to great effect.
Princess Xixi – “work me up”

Multi-faceted singer-songwriter, rapper, and DJ Princess Xixi shares visuals for her new single “work me up”. The track is a fusion of styles that take elements from dark pop, and modern trap grooves with dance aesthetics while the lyrics dwell on the dynamics of love and all the dramatics that come with it. The visual directed by Malaysian filmmaker Emily Ong Shuyi pays homage to East Asian cinema with its energetic cut scenes, fast-paced performance shots and multi-genre choreography that heightens the emotions displayed in the clip. “Work Me Up” serves as the lead single from her highly anticipated EP a dolls house, set for release on 30 May.
