Tentendo shares funky & deep new EP “Player One”

Releasing his new EP full of genius rhythms and rhymes is Melbourne-based Tentendo, with Player One. After a successful summer throughout 2022 with singles “Function” and “Ride”, he’s ready to release his highly anticipated EP which is a mixture of garage dance rhythms and Goldlink-esque rhymes on tracks like “Function” featuring Jordan Dennis. Player One, released on the 2nd of September, is a six-track EP demonstrating a reimagined side of Tentendo and a glimpse into what is coming.

Having produced music for more than 7 years, it’s easy to see that his formative years have been spent mastering electric bass and laying down hybrid foundations for live shows alongside programmed beats. Throughout Player One you can hear his broad taste, with multiple genres blending their way into the EP. On “Level One” and “Function” you can hear bass house slipping its way through beautifully, and the last track “Dancing All Night Long” which features a delightful Jack J Jazz-house style of clear bass lines and swing beats.  A real highlight on the project is the collaboration with Chelsea Warner “Feel The Same”, a disco-driven piece of synth funk with plenty of hints to the ’80s. For him, music has always been the perfect creative release and the perfect vessel to transport positivity from the studio to the dancefloor.

His inherent funk style mixed with to-die-for dance beats leave you unapologetically asking for more, and we can’t wait to see what Tentendo has in store next.
