Rising indie pop talent Kit Major announces debut EP with lead single “I’m Bitter,” an infectious and power-packed production with catchy guitar melodies rooted in her signature alt-pop/grunge sounds. Making for a dramatic breakup anthem, the track feels reminiscent of pop-punk icons like Avril Lavigne and Paramore, led by her husky yet bold vocals.
Described by the emerging LA singer as a “song for inner romantics,” the track pulls away from wallowing in sadness over a breakup, instead empowering you to be everything you need to be for yourself.
With cinematic sweeps and main character vibes, the cathartic track helps us move on from heartbreak, past pain and disappointment into self-love giving us a glimpse of the journey we can expect to take throughout her upcoming EP.
“I’m Bitter,” is accompanied by a music video which sees Major channel iconic Y2K pop-punk star style, capturing anger and bitterness in carefree and unabashed actions of dancing around in skate parks and throwing cake at the walls.
With a dark pop trademark which moves easily from pop and alt to rock and dance, Kit Major made a lasting impression with the equal nuances of vulnerability and self-confidence on her debut track in 2018. She hasn’t looked back since, arming herself with uber catchy soundscapes that encourage us to find the freedom to be and love ourselves fully.
