With “Irresponsible” Emei writes a song all about feeling the chaos in her mind and the consequences that arise from it. The song further is an acknowledgement of her own recklessness and carelessness at times. Lyrics including, “Slap me on the wrist / tsk tsk i’m trying / I don’t know why / I never grew up / and it’s mortifying / Why am i so irresponsible,” show that Emei is aware of her shortcomings and is trying to be better.
