VIZIN pours her heart out in “Take Me Home” [Video]

VIZIN  is a member of the Arikara tribe who moved to Los Angeles from North Dakota, where she lived at the Fort Berthold Reservation, part of the Three Affiliated Tribes. She started her career in drag in the year 2007, when she took part in her first gig. In 2016, she released her debut single titled “I Was Born This Way”(produced by Chris Rosa), which is a remake of the 1975 song by Valentino.
She followed it with “Mighty Real” another cover, this time of Sylvester. Her latest release is the video of the song “Take Me Home” taken from her new album Chrysalis. This is the second music video from the project and is a stunning artistic visual piece that shows just how far VIZIN’s vision can go.

The song is a heartfelt ballad that is made up of sombre keys, and glorious strings that build up as it progresses while VIZIN’s commanding melodic runs rise to a plateau. The lyrics are relatable and dive into a heart-rending plea for a lover to accept the other and bring the mutual love to a happy ending.

The visual was directed by Brad Hammer who makes use of VIZIN’s cultural heritage with a blend of eye-popping effects and running motifs that signal a glorious ending after the storm. besides the performance shots, the smooth and subtle visual effects and psychedelic aesthetics really make this visual brilliant and engaging from start to finish.
VIZIN is currently shooting the video for her forthcoming single “BYOB” and definitely not resting on her oars.
