Charlotte de Witte Releases New EP ‘Amor’ on KNTXT

Charlotte de Witte needs little to no introduction, and she is back with ‘Amor,’ out now via KNTXT. This three-track EP features Brazilian artist CERES and stands as the warmest, most personal project she has released in years. The Belgian techno icon has spent fifteen years building one of the most formidable careers in electronic music. Having closed the Tomorrowland mainstage, sold out a 23,000-capacity venue in her hometown of Ghent, and earned the title of world’s number one techno DJ for six consecutive years, she continues to push boundaries. As the founder of KNTXT, her own label launched in 2019, she remains at the forefront of the scene, fresh off a debut album and a landmark free rave in Genova that drew 20,000 people.

The EP: Track by Track

‘Amor’ arrives as a richly connected three-tracker, with each track featuring the breathy, full-toned vocals and Portuguese lyrics of Brazilian singer, DJ, and producer CERES. Subtle motifs link all three tracks, giving the impression they form a cohesive suite rather than a mere collection—a deliberate choice that rewards the listener who plays them in sequence.

“This EP is inspired by my love for Portugal and Brazil, the country, the people, the food, the culture. Made with lots of amor,” said Charlotte de Witte.

Title track ‘Amor’ opens with a galloping beat punctuated by spacey FX. A hoover siren builds tension as CERES begins her rhythmic chant, before a sprinkle of acid evolves into a sulphuric tidal wave—a signature de Witte move executed with surgical precision. ‘Sem Ar,’ meaning ‘Airless,’ follows. Frantic, rattling percussion pushes the track into breakbeat-adjacent territory, with CERES’ resonant voice taking center stage in an acapella breakdown before transforming into a sharp, processed acid-robot vocal.

‘O Movimento,’ meaning ‘Movement’ or ‘Motion,’ closes the EP. A driving beat with a hi-hat backbeat duels with CERES’ voice, which sounds increasingly breathless. Acid filters in as the track builds, maintaining relentless momentum. The vinyl edition includes an Instrumental Mix of ‘O Movimento’ as an exclusive fourth track for those who prefer the production stripped back to its core.

What Comes Next

‘Amor’ drops as de Witte continues to build out her 2026 touring schedule. This year, she headlines Time Warp Brazil, EDC Las Vegas, We Love Green Paris, Kappa Futur Festival, Awakenings, and Sónar, with more street parties in the works. The world’s number one techno DJ is not slowing down—if anything, she is just getting started.
