Martin Garrix is the Official Music Artist of the UEFA Euro 2020 at Amsterdam Dance Event on October 19. He will write and perform the official song for the event.

The 23-year-old revealed the news while performing a headline show in his home town, Amsterdam. This is one of 12 host cities for the finals next summer– a first of its nature for the event.

He put on a great show and captivated Amsterdam again. With an unexpected encore, he walked out with the Henri Delaunay Cup – the trophy that the winner of UEFA EURO 2020 will receive. Giant screens behind him dubbed him the official artist of next year’s tournament.

Mark your calendars for spring 2020, as the song will be revealed. There will even be a collaboration with a singer. Garrix will debut the song in full for the first time at the EURO 2020 opening ceremony. It takes place at the Olimpico in Rome, on June 12.

What’s Even More?

Martin is producing the official walkout music for all official broadcasts as well.

“It’s an incredible honour to be asked to create the official song for UEFA EURO 2020. I am so excited to let everyone hear it. Next summer’s tournament will take the fans closer to the action than ever before, and I really hope that my song will make everyone in Europe feel like they are part of it.” – Martin Garrix

Inspired by Tiësto’s performance at the opening ceremony for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, now is his chance. This is a huge milestone for the already worldwide successful artist.

The EURO 2020 celebrates 60 years of competition history. If you find yourself in Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome and St Petersburg, enjoy!

“It’s crazy to think that UEFA EURO 2020 will be held across 12 different cities but it’s the perfect way to celebrate 60 years of this incredible competition. Music is my passion but I’m also a huge football fan, so it’s extra special for me to be able to create the official song for what will be the biggest EURO in history.” – Martin Garrix

Guy-Laurent Epstein, director of marketing at UEFA, says there’s no better person to get the party started than Garrix. The theme is unity, and you can enter for a chance to meet Garrix here. Good luck!
