Norwegian icon Alan Walker unveils the first instalment of his most meaningful and evolving project WalkerWorld, offering up a 10-track collection that weaves across genres as he beckons us into an innovative and immersive chapter of his artistry.
A project crafted with the hope of bringing happiness to anyone who tunes in, Walker pulls into an ethereal and welcoming realm that showcases a versatile sonic range. Moving from his trademark dance-pop style across tracks like “Heart Over Mind” with Daya, “Spectre 2.0” with Steve Aoki andLonely Boys and “Endless Summer” with Zak Abel to more emotive offerings like electronica anthem “Land of the Heroes,” and the cinematic touches of “Darkride,” the album is one that leaves us with notes of joy and wonder.
Speaking of the album, Walker says, “Not too long ago, I sat in my childhood bedroom and dreamt of creating music that could touch people’s hearts and leave a lasting impact. I am incredibly grateful to continue this journey and step into this new phase with the support of an exceptional group of talented artists, creatives, and community. This release is a milestone for every individual who has joined me on this incredible ride over the past eight years.”
With the album only the first stepping stone in the long musical journey that WalkerWorld is set to be, we can expect an innovative and evolving project with new tracks to be added to the expansive track list each month. The project also signifies the announcement and first access to Alan Walker’s interactive and engaging in-game amusement park on Fortnite, to be fully launched on Dec 12.
