Baseball Game call on the ’70’s for inspiration behind their latest single “Woman”

Coming in easy this morning is LA/Nashville duo Adam Carpenter and Jason Bennett with their eclectic new duo project Baseball Game. Their latest single “Woman” is an ode to the ’70s disco era inspired by various dance videos they’ve pulled from YouTube.

Sharing over email, the pair said: “We wanted the song musically to feel like we were in a trance, the same way we felt when watching random YouTube videos of people dancing to slow disco from the ’70s without sound.” The track is soft with guitar-driven melodies, hazy synths, and a gentle guitar beat. Whispy vocals address relationship dissolution and the empathy we still have for someone no longer a part of our life. “Woman” comes as the first single off their forthcoming EP which will be out on August 7th. Sit back, relax and maybe dance around your living room a bit in a slow dance with a loved one.
