Edinburgh-based progressive and melodic trance producer Boy North delivers soothing single “Dream of A Better Tomorrow,” as he takes another step towards his forthcoming EP. Featuring soft vocals laid on a lush soundscape littered with synth elements and an uplifting chord progression, the track’s quiet melody envelopes listeners in an emotive experience. Following singles, “Need You By My Side,” and “We All Stood Still,” the new offering is an exercise in finding hope for the future amidst adversity.
The stunning track which brings forth an emotive cut of seamless trance and progressive house, is relatable in its vulnerability as people around the world laments the smalls things we took for granted. Yet it is achingly hopeful in its anticipation of good times around the corner, delivering a message everyone needs right now. ”The third release of this EP speaks for itself,” Boy North says. “A time where we were all so uncertain about where the next day would take us, hoping that with every sun rise we would be that little bit closer to normality. Silently praying that we will once again have those memories to create in the near future. A time where we all would Dream Of A Better Tomorrow.”
Steadily building towards a vast repertoire of melodic and euphoric music which blends elements of breakbeat, trance and house in a prolific show of versatility, the Scot is a veteran where musicality is concerned, in spite of his rising star status. Raised in Edinburgh, the songwriter and producer who began DJing professional when he was teenager, has not only been imparted his dad’s musicality but had several years of his own experiences in music to refine his technical skills.
A journey into music production that began with him falling in love with Lane 8’s “Hot As You Want,” in 2016 evolved into Boy North putting out his own music in 2018, and now with big room, melodic house stylings of his third single from his forthcoming EP, he unveils another piece of the musical puzzle that makes him.
