East Oakland’s Capolow has been making noise in the Bay Area for last few years. His latest release, Room 304, featured Bay Area hitmakers like Guapdad 4000, ALLBLACK, and Philthy Rich. Fresh off of a joint project with Kamaiyah, Capolow is back with a new single, “Presidential.” The track is a sneak peek off of the rising rapper’s forthcoming project, Kid Next Door.
“Presidential” is an ode to securing the bag. The P-Lo-produced beat starts off strong with a piano riff, quickly descending into an infectious beat that captures the Bay Area sound. The track is littered with Capolow’s signature “aye aye” adlib, as lines like “I’m playing chess / you gotta watch how I’m moving” dance around the beat.
The accompanying visual serves to further underscore Capolow’s newfound lavish lifestyle, as he flaunts his cash and drinks champagne in limousines.
Kid Next Door is slated for release on 10/9 via Cinematic Music Group.
