Award-winning German singer/songwriter Diana Ezerex shares the video for her song “My Fight.” The somber ballad deals with forgiveness in its totality and the dynamics of depression, desperation, and suicide. It seems like a lot as Diana reveals how all the trauma can manifest as a result of feeling inadequate in one’s life. Over a dramatic and ominous piano progression, Diana delivers a heartfelt and sobering performance as she runs through the different emotions that come with the trauma and the only way is to seek genuine forgiveness from within and from the people close to you.
The music video directed by Carolin Glomp, tells the tale of a woman who has difficulties connecting back with her family after serving several years in prison. it’s quite cinematic and the storyboarding is engaging as it takes viewers through the different stages of the woman taking steps to right some wrongs and clean out the proverbial closet.
“My Fight” is taken from Diana’s debut album My Past’s Gravity, which deals with prison-related topics as she has been playing concerts in prisons since May 2017. All songs on the album are the basis for the creative project Offsite Melange together with numerous artists from all over Europe such as music videos, a book, cooperations with classical ensembles and more.
