Nashville-based pop Americana collective Front Country return with a timely protest track entitled “Broken Record.” The upbeat single and accompanying visuals detail how important it is to fight against injustice both in one’s own personal life as well as for the overall rights of humanity. Even when sometimes our initial message was not received, Front Country urges us all to keep speaking up until it is clear and change happens.
The colorful visuals feature modern dancers mixed in with imagery of protests throughout history. The band also wanted to use their platform to help push for voter registration for the upcoming American election as well as honor a legacy of protest for equal rights in the country. Sonically, the single soars with uplifting emotive vocals, driving funk fueled basslines and Jazz infused guitars.
“Broken Record” is the third single off of the band’s full length album Impossible World set for release later this year. Front Country seamlessly blends a myriad of genres from Americana, pop, and folk that have garnered them a dedicated fanbase. Watch “Broken Record” now and make your voice heard.
