Rising singer-songwriter/ actor Ioanna (pronounced “You-wa-na”) delivers the stunning visuals for her retro-pop heartfelt single "Did to Me," which serves as a change in pace in her recent releases. The track takes elements from 80s disco/pop and modern synth-wave styles to bring a catchy piece ripe with evocative lyrics that dive into the singer's personal life. Over dark cinematic synths, punchy four to the floor drum grooves, Ioanna gives listeners a quick glimpse into the effects of broken trust and emotional turmoil.
For the video, she taps director Dragan Andic who culls inspiration from the emotionally charged song to bring it to life. The use of cinematic techniques, dark moody lighting, and quick performance cut scenes peppered with seductive choreography really heightens the energy of the track.
Ioanna is a Toronto, Canada based singer who comes from a big multicultural family with a mixture of Greek and Lebanese. She started her foray into music in 2017 writing and recording for herself and other artists and is also an emerging actor.
