Jack Xander drops introspective but quirky track “Therapy Whistle”

Los Angeles-based musician Jack Xander showcases his trademark ability to weave mis-matched melodies into addictive soundscapes on “Therapy Whistle,” a DIY production with descriptive lyrical narratives that immerses us in the sonic story unfolding before us.

Inspired by a memory from Xander’s early school life, where he encountered many flamboyant characters in his high school jazz band, the track traces teen tensions and jealousy between him and a rival. With an introspective message about how we can sometimes grow up to be exactly like the people we hate, the track balances teen angst with inward-looking maturity.

The track is accompanied by a  music video shot at Coney Island amusement park in New York during Xander’s first East Coast tour, with director Mario Dante encapsulating feeling of stale Americana that the song channels within his cinematic visuals.

Establishing himself as a self-produced emerging talent, Jack Xander has built up an art of telling relatable and heartfelt stories led by his quirky song writing, soulful crooning and exciting instrumentation.
