The first single off Liam Mour’s forthcoming EP, “Pure Puma,” is an energetic and hypnotic UK garage driven gem, which blends scattering drums alongside low rolling sub-frequencies. His third EP, Mour’s enigmatic and ruthlessly creative live performances resulted in a sold-out home performance at legendary Berlin institution Funkhaus.
Encapsulating a vividly cinematic, mostly analog sound, Mour pitches between Ambient, Electronica and indie electronic, producing a trajectory that sits alongside his contemporaries Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, Aphex Twin, and Four Tet.
Speaking on the new single, Liam shares, “I was on a road trip to Joshua Tree National park in California recently when a puma suddenly crossed the road in front of our car and we nearly hit it. This song captures that exact moment and instantly came to my mind.”
“Pure Puma,” is his first release from his new EP Angel High which established a new side to his discography. His 2020 release “Love,” is dance track flavored with mid-eastern instruments. In contrast, “Pure Puma” brings a new style of dance energy and is set to resonate amongst festivals this summer.
