Los Angeles dream pop artist tiny deaths unveils her latest single “The Jump.” A poignant song which takes a deeper look into fame and all the darkness it can often cast, singer Claire de Lune gives her honest and candid opinion, singing “something bout fame I don’t trust.” Through haunting and moody melodies, “The Jump” emits a spine-tingling sensation, while de Lune’s soft, pensive vocals provide a familiar and friendly feeling, giving her words a sense of authenticity.
de Lune shares how the song stems from the question, “does fame attract rotten people or does the fame itself rot them?” We see it time and time again, a seemingly innocent person jumping into the limelight until before long they become the target for every news outlet’s thrashing. It ponders the question if they were always that way, or if their time in the public eye slowly decayed their soul.
tiny deaths is known for writing songs which focus on human emotions with a darker, melancholy vibe and “The Jump” follows suit. The stunning single is the first to be released off of her EP If I’m Dreaming, coming November 13th.
