Avoure and Haxxy‘s sonic worlds collide on their new single “Like U,” blending their distinct sonic signatures into a seamless and emotive collaboration. The track pairs Avoure’s melodic storytelling with Haxxy’s intricate breakbeat rhythms, striking a perfect balance that highlights each artist’s strengths. More than just a powerful standalone release, “Like U” hints at even bigger projects on the horizon for both.
Avoure described working on the track as “a unique experience,” noting it was his first time producing at 136 BPM. “It turned out to be an incredible way to step out of my comfort zone while still staying true to myself,” he said.
For his part, Haxxy said the song draws inspiration from a powerful source, the ongoing war in his native country of Ukraine. The record “was born out of hope — but also from the heavy inner struggles that artists face during the war in Ukraine,” he explained. “This war inevitably touched me too. That’s why it felt so meaningful to turn this track into a collaboration with my fellow Ukrainian, Avoure. I sent him the first version of the track, and what he brought back felt like a natural extension of my ideas. It’s incredible how, even across oceans, we created such strong synergy.”
Following the release of his Heartbleed EP, Haxxy had already been contemplating a full-length album — and “Like U” proved to be the catalyst. “I know for sure that I need to capture this period of my life and creativity into something bigger. So yes — more music is coming. I’m working on the album.”
