BAD reminds us to take a long hot "Bubblebath"

Brooklyn-based indie pop duo BAD has a thoughtful and endearing way of making colorful, feel-good music that ignites the imagination and offers much needed comic relief during uncertain and stressful times.

Their latest single “Bubblebath” is all about taking to the good old tub for a little bit of rest, relaxation, and self-love. Daily life can be draining, and as the old saying goes, “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” Julia of BAD confides, “it's about taking time for yourself, washing all the negativity off your skin, and letting it circle down the drain and out of your life. We give so much to our jobs, our families, our friends, our romantic relationships, and this song is a reminder to give to yourself.” Best known for their bright, funk-fueled synths and spunky melodies, their newest single is definitely in line with the BAD that we know and love. With a taste of the 80s intertwined with modern day pop, the song radiates with originality, splashy landscapes, and playful charm. The song connects with one's inner-child, bringing back the days when bubble baths were the highlight of the evening: a time when rubber ducks came out to party, and when going underwater turned into a magical adventure under the sea.

BAD is singer/songwriter Julia Brex and producer, multi-instrumentalist Jackson Hoffman. Together since high school, the duo has been making music for over a decade now and this synergy is reflected in their music. Inspired by funk, pop, and decades from the past, their mission is to “make people feel-good and move.”
