E the Profit has shared a new EP called E4Everyone. A standout out of Kentucky, E has been a part of a new wave of hip-hop artists putting the state on the map. With a prolific release schedule, E has been dropping off project after project of refreshing, stylish southern hip-hop- and his latest offering, E4Everyone, is no exception. It contains many of the elements that characterize his sound- such as raw, charismatic flows, and punchy, focused production, while also further developing his penchant for storytelling and introspective lyricism.
“Matrimony” is a highlight at the start of the track-list- with a spacey, minimalistic instrumental that intriguingly incorporates blues elements, and sparse but hard-hitting drums that suit E’s to-the-point, sharp flows. “Probably” takes on lo-fi, abstract hip-hop influences for a psychedelic listen, while “Woah”‘s upbeat, vibrant sound adds further contrast and dynamics. The EP closes out with “D.H.M.P.”, an infectious song with an anthemic energy with a catchy reverb-soaked hook and slick flows that finish the 4-song offering poignantly.
As E the Profit continues his prolific tear of releases with E4Everyone, it is exciting to watch him experiment and showcase his versatility while staying true to his sound. It’s safe to say this project lives up to its namesake by providing something for everyone sonically, while remaining authentic.
