For Cali natives and locals, 415 Day is a moment for San Franciscans to celebrate their special city. 415 represents not only their area code but also a direct response to gentrification and displacement of native families. In light of the movement, EMPIRE founder Ghazi teamed up with legendary super-producer, Zaytoven for a new 10-track project titled Fo15, released via EMPIRE on April 15. Of course.
A true Bay Area affair, everyone from the producers to the video directors are San Fransisco natives. Celebrating some of the city’s best talent, the 10-track project features some artists staples including ZayBang, Lil Bean, Lil Yee, KXNG LLAMA, Prezi, and Lil Pete. In honor of the new project, the crew also dropped a visual for the project’s opening track “The Click”. Filmed at EMPIRE studios, the video gives some more insight into the creative process of the 415-inspired compilation. A true posse cut, the West Coast-influenced track, sets the stage for the artists to put on for their neighborhood. A true embodiment of the quintessential producer, Zaytoven takes the reigns on Fo15, leading the production for each cut. Showcasing the undeniable talent and diversity of San Fransico, Fo15 gives listeners a chance to experience some unique West Coast culture.
