Florida rapper King Jap unveils his reflective new project, 'MONEY IZ PAIN'

In 2021, hip-hop respects authenticity in the sense of sticking to true to yourself and telling your actual story. Hailing from Florida, rising rapper King Jap is doing exactly that. After a tumultuous journey to kick off his career, he finally broke through in 2019 when he signed with High Rollerz Entertainment & released his first single, “Big Shot.” Looking to capitalize on that buzz, he checks into our pages for the first time with his highly anticipated project, MONEY IZ PAIN.

Landing at 12-tracks, the most immediate thing to notice about MONEY IZ PAIN is the lack of features on there. Boasting only two guest appearances from Blo5k LiL A and T7 on, “Extra Do it,” and “The Greatest,” respectively, King Jap instead opts to keep all of the attention of him, allowing for the listener to connect to his story a bit more. Utilizing a quick-twitch flow and an infectious Southern drawl that easily endears himself to whoever is listening, he spends the project highlighting his vast arsenal of talents. Still, where he shines is his songwriting, evidenced on tracks like, “Riri,” which serves as the album’s standout track.

With more music surely on the horizon, it would be smart to get familiar with King Jap now, as opposed to later. Take a listen to the album above and get familiar with the buzzing High Rollerz Entertainment signee.
