Four-piece outfit Tenacity share the new single “Out of the Dark”. Heading up the release of their album Long Faint Lights, the single is a brooding number that contrasts dark and mellow sonics with featherweight, celestial vocals from Ula Wodarz.
With guitar grooves sinking you into their immersive world of sound, Tenacity were first brought together by their shared love of music. Originally a solo project, Wodarz began collaborating with Tim Burghaus at the coveted BRIT School which soon led to Daniel Lazenby and Simba Jindu joining the duo to create the sonically diverse quartet. Formed with soulful melodies and a lot of love, “Out of the Dark” carries an emotive quality that can be felt throughout.
“These songs are made up of the most personal words I’ve ever shared with anyone, and not just through music but in general,” explains Ula. “We started working on Long Faint Lights just before the whole world came to a stop. Though it slowed us down, the whole situation made us look for creative ways around the logistical difficulties and we got there in the end. It feels so good to finally get it out despite the bumpy road that led to it.”
An ambient offering, “Out of the Dark” is a buoyant number brimming with a lightweight darknes..
