Cork-hailing star HANNAHBELLA unveils her latest single, “Skin,” blending an eclectic mix of glitchy hyper-pop, techno, and alt-rock. HANNAHBELLA’s new track showcases her genre-blending originality and her fierce musical independence.
Recorded with producer Jessica Richardson (WhenTheBeatIsBad), “Skin” starts with swirling synths and choppy electronic beats. HANNAHBELLA’s elegant vocals dance above, enhanced by well-placed harmonies. The track builds with grinding sub-heavy bass and a captivating spoken word chorus, ending with glitchy cut-up vocals over fizzing high hats and swelling bass. The soundscape is both accessible and experimental, blending electronica with grime-infused pop.
HANNAHBELLA describes “Skin” as a “haunting love song” that is “hot and sharp,” inspired by the idea of intertwined spirits. She and Richardson aimed for a minimal yet powerful sound, obsessed with the fierce bass line they created.
Since debuting in 2021, HANNAHBELLA has been featured on major Spotify playlists and has been supported by stations like RTE 2fm and Cork’s Red FM. Having also opened for acts like Baby Queen and The Cliffords, she further highlights her experimental edge.
