Others have burned the singer in the past and it takes a lot for her to open up. This song is her admitting it is going to take some time to trust.
Mariah is known for her punchy tunes with highly infectious melodies. Influenced by pop greats like Bebe Rexha and Cher Lloyd, she possesses so much powerful charisma. That same spirit comes through in this new release. The talent shares, “I’ve made mistakes in the past of opening up too much, too fast and oversharing with people who I shouldn’t have overshared with. Because of this, I don’t always like to let others know how I’m feeling, so I’ll often hide my emotions even if they’re super strong.”
