Emerging Chicago-based singer/songwriter Sylvia Vaser and her band Lithia delivers their single “Glorified” with much gusto. The singer is currently working on her self-recorded debut LP under the Lithia moniker and in the interim, she gives listeners something refreshing and gripping in the form of this anthemic and cinematic track which sees her fusing elements of indie rock and alternative pop music. The track is made up of rousing punchy drum grooves, and rich layered guitar chords with dark strings to match Lithia’s lilting and airy melodic vocals that cut through the mix like a knife through hot butter. Here Lithia embodies the spirit of seizing the day and finding freedom away from any form of constraint. Inspired by a short retreat in the Badlands of South Dakota, she basked in the vast space of the landscape and soaked in the renewed energy afforded to her.
Overall “Glorified” is the perfect self-discovery anthem and an ode to individual freedom from the never-ending cycle of life’s mundane routine.
