For many independent artists, an effective roll out can be the deciding factor on if you reach your goals or not. Countless artists think dropping a project should only be followed by a week or two of promotion before you move on to the next one. They couldn’t be more wrong. Hailing from San Bernardino, rising artist Cam Gnarly has spent most of 2020 promoting his enjoyable EP, 333 HZ, and he continues his hot streak as he releases the video to standout single, “Too Much.”
Directed by Victor Hernandez, “Too Much,” finds it’s footing in 90’s pop culture references, durags and lots of Backwoods. Showcasing Cam in complete leisure mode, the video’s brilliance is in the chemistry that the on screen members show. While many music videos look staged for the moment, this one looks like friends genuinely having fun, which matches the tone of the record. As for the song, produced by The Audio King, the feel-good standout greatly benefits from such a fitting video, as they bring the essence of the record to life.
