Sarah King drops soulful dual “Always an Almost” and “You Were Wrong About Me”

On the heels of her most recent EP The Hour, Sarah King delivers a soulful new A/B sided release with “Always an Almost” and “You Were Wrong About Me,” both of which move away from the themes of grief and loss explored in her previous releases. Coming alive with something much more uplifting rooted in shaking feelings of loneliness of, both tracks are an encapsulation of her sonic duality at its best.

From Americana-infused ballad “Always an Almost,” capturing missed chances and unfinished relationships is a hopeful number at its foundation, reminding us that everything we’ve missed will make space for what’s really meant for us. In continuation to the optimistic tone of the first track fierce rock number “You Were Wrong About Me,” looks back on the situations that didn’t work out from a place of strength, growth and confidence.
